Writing for survival: Gaza author dares to hope against the odds

Palestinian author Safaa Al-Nabaheen has kept working in Gaza through Israeli attacks, the loss of loved ones and food shortages. She has won fellowships, residencies and admission in Western universities. But the bureaucracy of occupation keeps her tied, against her will, in the besieged enclave. And the lessons she taught in creative workshops are proving to be a challenge.
