World leaders gather in Seville for UN aid summit amid crisis from US cuts

A UN conference to boost support for global development aid begins on Monday as US funding cuts jeopardise the fight against poverty. At least 50 world leaders including French President Emmanuel Macron, Kenya’s William Ruto, EU chief Ursula von der Leyen and UN head Antonio Guterres will gather in Seville from June 30 to July 3.
