The 2026 edition of Wilco‘s biennial Solid Sound festival happens June 26-28 at Mass MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts. While the lineup hasn’t been revealed yet, the opening night will feature Wilco and Billy Bragg performing a full set of songs from their collaborative Mermaid Avenue series for the first time ever.
Wilco and Billy Bragg both regularly perform songs from the three Mermaid Avenue albums, which set new music to previously unheard Woody Guthrie lyrics, and have played together a few times over the years, but somehow they’ve never played a full set of Mermaid Avenue songs together on stage.
Jeff Tweedy says, “The world needs all the Woody Guthrie it can get. We’re thrilled that we get to bring these songs to life with Billy.” Bragg adds, “There’s an abiding love out there for the Mermaid Avenue albums, so I’m really looking forward to reconnecting with Wilco to bring Woody’s words to life once again.”
Call us crazy, but this would also be a good idea for a full tour.
Three-Day passes for Solid Sound 2026 are on sale now.
