Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines recently launched their joint loyalty program, Atmos Rewards. Luckily, this new program still offers access to many valuable Alaska Airlines partners, with which you can earn and redeem Atmos Rewards points.
So, here’s what you should know about Alaska Airlines’ partners.
Who are Alaska Airlines’ partners?
Three categories of Alaska Airlines partners exist: airline partners, transfer partners and other partners.
Airline partners include other airlines on which you can earn points and, in some cases, redeem points. Transfer partners include programs to which you can transfer rewards. Finally, other partners include a variety of travel and everyday partnerships through which you can enjoy perks, earn points or redeem points.

When you think of Alaska Airlines’ partners, you likely picture the airline partners first.
Alaska Airlines has three types of airline partners: Oneworld alliance partners, earn and redeem partners, and earn partners. Here’s a look at Alaska Airlines’ partners in each category and what Atmos Rewards members can expect from these partners:

Redeeming points for flights on Alaska Airlines partners
Atmos Rewards publishes partner award charts with starting rates. For example, here’s the partner award chart for itineraries within the Americas:

Of course, since the Atmos Rewards partner award chart lists starting rates, you may find more expensive awards when you try to redeem points for your trip. You may also occasionally have issues with phantom award space, as I experienced recently when trying to book an award flight operated by Royal Jordanian through Atmos Rewards.
Finally, remember that you can earn toward Atmos Rewards elite status on flights booked with Alaska points, including flights operated by partners.
Alaska Airlines’ transfer partners
You may also think of transfer partners when considering Alaska Airlines partners. In other words, which loyalty programs let you convert your rewards into Alaska points, and which programs are available if you want to convert your Alaska points into other rewards?

Let’s start with the potentially disappointing news: You can’t convert Atmos Rewards points into any rewards currency besides Hawaiian Airlines miles (and this option is ending soon, as HawaiianMiles will transition to Atmos Rewards on Oct. 1). However, if you hold the Atmos™ Rewards Summit Visa Infinite® Credit Card, you can transfer your points to select hotel programs (more on this later).
There’s slightly better news regarding the programs from which you can transfer rewards, as you can transfer Bilt Rewards Points to Atmos Rewards at a 1:1 ratio and Marriott Bonvoy points at a 3:1 ratio. You can also transfer Hawaiian miles to Alaska, although this will only be an option until HawaiianMiles transitions to Atmos Rewards on Oct. 1.

As discussed earlier in this guide, you can transfer Bilt Rewards points to Atmos Rewards. Additionally, the partnership between Bilt and Alaska goes deeper. Specifically, you’ll earn 3 Alaska points per dollar spent on rent payments, up to $50,000 per year, when you link your Visa Signature card to your Rent Rewards account and use your card to pay rent through Bilt.
Note that if you hold the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite Credit Card, you are eligible to transfer your Atmos Rewards points to these select hotel programs at the following rates:
- Marriott Bonvoy (1:1)
- I Prefer Hotel Rewards (1:2)
- Wyndham Rewards (1:1)
- Shangri-La Circle (8:1)
- IHG One Rewards (1:1); available only through early November at this time

Travel partners
You can earn 1 point per dollar spent (excluding taxes and fees) when booking trips through Alaska Cruises. You can also earn and redeem Alaska points with Stays by Alaska Vacations. Plus, you can earn Alaska points instead of hotel points on eligible stays you book with Best Western, Marriott, Choice Hotels, IHG and Coast Hotels. You can also choose Alaska points as your reward currency for stays you book through Rocketmiles.

Alaska elite members can match their status to Avis Preferred Plus or President’s Club. Plus, you can earn Alaska points on eligible rentals with Avis and Budget. You can also earn Alaska points on Lyft rides.
Everyday partners
You can use the Atmos Rewards Shopping portal to earn extra points when shopping with select merchants. You can also use Atmos Rewards Dining to earn up to 5 points per dollar spent when you dine in, order takeout or get delivery at participating restaurants.
If you want to order flowers online, you can earn 25 points per dollar spent with 1-800-Flowers using promo code “AKA4.” You can earn Alaska points with various other everyday partners, but some are region-specific. So, check out the everyday partners page on the Alaska website to learn more.
Bottom line
The Alaska Airlines partners range from credit cards and a dining rewards program to airline partners. You might initially assume the best way to earn and redeem Alaska points is on flights the airline operates. However, you’ll likely miss out on valuable opportunities if you don’t consider how you could earn, redeem or otherwise benefit from Alaska Airlines’ partners.
