We’re down to the very last shows of what Wu-Tang Clan are calling their final tour, “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber.” The third-to-last night at NYC’s Madison Square Garden had tons of special guests, and they had a couple more surprises in store for the penultimate night too, which happened at Newark, NJ’s Prudential Center on Thursday (7/17). Lauryn Hill joined Wu-Tang for three songs, “Killing Me Softly With His Song,” “To Zion” (with her son Zion Marley), and “X-Factor.” “This is a nostalgic moment for me,” she told the crowd, as Asbury Park Press points out. “Fugees, the Wu came out the same time.”
Mary J. Blige also came out to join Method Man on “I’ll Be There for You/You’re All I Need to Get By.” Watch attendee-taken video below.
Guests in NYC on Wednesday night included Havoc of Mobb Deep, Redman, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Lil’ Cease, Lil’ Kim, SWV, and The Lox. More from Wednesday night’s show here.
The Final Chamber concludes tonight (7/18) at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center.
Lauryn Hill also recently joined Drake for his first of three headlining sets at London’s Wireless Festival.
