Katy Perry has surprised fans at a Katy Perry-themed club night in Australia.
The singer is currently on the Australian leg of her ‘Lifetimes’ tour, where she has spent multiple nights performing in Sydney and Melbourne.
Perry made an unexpected appearance at Chasers Nightclub in Melbourne on Saturday (June 14) for the ‘Club Katy’ event. In footage from her surprise showing, Perry told the crowd: “You guys raised me. I thank you and I love you, you are my chosen family.”
“Because you are my chosen family, a mother must provide for her children,” she added. “So as a provider, I would like to open the bar for one hour. The drinks are on me, baby!”

Recently, one of Perry’s shows in Sydney was crashed by a fan who stormed the stage. At her show at the Qudos Bank Centre on June 9, Perry was performing her 2008 smash hit ‘Hot N’ Cold’. However, midway through, she was interrupted by a fan who put his arm around her and dance on stage.
The Sydney Morning Herald later reported that the fan in question was Johnson Wen, who frequently invades stages for his TikTok account, @pyjamamann. He previously interrupted The Weeknd‘s show in Melbourne and The Chainsmokers’ set at Palm Tree Festival in Sydney last year.
Wen has since been arrested and charged with “entering enclosed land and obstructing a person in performance of work or duties”. Wen was then granted conditional bail and will appear at Burwood Local Court on June 23. He has also been banned from the Sydney Olympic Park precinct for six months.
In other news, Katy Perry has said she is “so proud” of Lady Gaga after attending her concert in Mexico City.
