Watch Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ trailer

Jeremy Allen White of The Bear is playing Bruce Springsteen in the upcoming biopic Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, which focuses on The Boss making his personal, acoustic 1982 album Nebraska. It’s based on Warren Zanes’ 2023 book of the same name and was written and directed by Scott Cooper, who made the Oscar-winning 2009 music drama Crazy Heart. The film will be in theaters October 24, and they’ve just released the first trailer, which you can watch below.

The film also stars Succession‘s Jeremy Strong as Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau, Stephen Graham (Adolescence) as Bruce’s father, plus Paul Walter Hauser, Gaby Hoffman, Marc Maron, David Krumholtz, and Odessa Young. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere” chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 “Nebraska” album when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom, struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works—a raw, haunted acoustic record populated by lost souls searching for a reason to believe.

The real Bruce Springsteen releases seven never-before-heard albums from his archives in the Tracks II: The Lost Albums box set next week.
