The new video is shared by the band today (June 17), and sees the Grammy and BRIT nominees celebrate the newfound success of the track, which featured on their 2016 album ‘How To Be A Human Being’.
The track has become a hit on social media recently – pulling in roughly two million daily views on TikTok over the past few weeks and finding its way into the “Watching your enemy’s downfall” trend.
Now, to mark the newfound interest in the song, Glass Animals have shared a music video that is equally as unhinged and intriguing as the song itself.
It was shared on the new website made for fans, which you can visit here, and sees visuals that are strange, glitchy, addictive and different with each re-watch. The site was built by Dave Bayley and Drew MacFarlane and aims to pull inspiration from the unpredictable nature of the internet, as well as the chaotic TikTok videos shared by those participating in the latest trend.
Visit the new site here to watch the visualiser, and stream the song below.
“Hello, u stink. I am a product of the internet, entirely made from randomly selected YouTube Videos,” reads a caption at the start of the video. “Every play is totally unique”.
“I do not reflect the views of Glass Animals – I reflect the insanity of the internet. Blame the algorithm.”
As well as sharing the new visualiser, Glass Animals have also recently taken over cult NYC hangout Scarr’s Pizza to celebrate the release, handing out pizza to fans and teasing ‘Take A Slice’ visuals and lyrics in-store.
In other news about the band, the members announced an extension of their ‘Tour Of Earth’ live shows earlier this year, with a batch of extra North American shows to continue this month.
The tour began last August in support of their fourth studio album ‘I Love You So F***ing Much’, which was released in April that year. They originally played strings of shows in the US, the UK and Europe, with support from artists including The Big Moon, Kevin Abstract and Blondshell. Visit here for remaining tickets.
