VIVIZ announce debut album ‘A Montage of ( )’

VIVIZ have announced their highly anticipated debut full-length album, ‘A Montage of ()’ – find out more below.

The trio – comprised of Eunha, SinB and Umji – broke the news on social media earlier today (June 16). Announcing the album on X (formerly Twitter), VIVIZ confirmed that ‘A Montage of ()’ is slated for release on July 8.

Further details surrounding the album’s release, including its tracklisting or news of its lead single, have yet to be revealed.

The album will mark their first full-length effort following a string of EPs and mini-albums between February 2022 and November last year. Their five EPs to date are ‘Beam of Prism’, ‘Summer Vibe’, ‘Various’, ‘Versus’ and most recently ‘Voyage’.

‘A Montage of ()’ will follow the return of GFriend – of which Eunha, SinB and Umji are members – earlier this year after announcing their disbandment in 2021. While the trio were unable to share details at the time, they spoke of GFriend’s reunion in an interview with NME in November.

“We just want to show that we’ve been working hard, discussing and planning this,” Eunha said, adding that the only thing they could publicly discuss was telling fans to “look forward to it”.

During the period of GFriend’s absence, Eunha, SinB and Umji would form VIVIZ, while Yerin and Yuju have pursued solo careers in music, while Sowon has dabbled in acting. Following the announcement of their reunion, GFriend released the comeback album ‘Season of Memories’ in January this year.

The album scored a four-star review from NME, with Tássia Assis writing: “The brief ‘Season of Memories’ feels more like an afternoon breeze, as nostalgic as it is fleeting, rather than a whole period. It honours GFRIEND’s bond and essence, and reassures fans that they remain together – even if they aren’t around as often as they once were.”
