Venezuela postpones vote on amnesty bill to protect political dissidents

Venezuelan lawmakers on Thursday postponed a landmark amnesty bill meant to halt the use of courts against dissenters after failing to agree on its implementation. Thousands rallied in Caracas demanding the release of political prisoners. The bill would clear charges against opponents of former leaders Nicolas Maduro and Hugo Chavez.
