Venezuela approves amnesty law that could free hundreds of political prisoners

Venezuela’s National Assembly on Thursday unanimously approved an amnesty law expected to free hundreds of political prisoners, marking a major shift after years of socialist rule. The measure now heads to interim President Delcy Rodríguez, who proposed it following Nicolás Maduro’s removal in a Jan. 3 US raid.
