One of the blazes took place outside the doorway of Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s family home in Kentish Town, in north London, which is currently being rented out.

The police in Britain on Thursday charged a man with arson in connection with three fires, including two at properties linked to Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The Metropolitan Police in London said in a statement that the man, Roman Lavrynovych, 21, had been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

The police identified Mr. Lavrynovych, who was arrested on Tuesday, as a Ukrainian national.

One of the fires erupted outside the doorway of Mr. Starmer’s family home in Kentish Town, in north London, which is currently being rented out. Another blaze broke out at a separate property in north London, which the BBC reported Mr. Starmer had lived in previously.

Mr. Starmer and his family currently occupy the prime minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street.
