Two Italian giants join the race for England international United are desperate to sell this summer – report

Manchester United have been desperately trying to move on Jadon Sancho for over two summers now, but so far, it has proven to be a complicated ask.

The Red Devils must have been delighted to agree a loan deal with an obligation to buy for £25 million with Chelsea last summer.

But following an underwhelming campaign, plus his refusal to lower his wage demands, the Blues decided to opt out of the obligation by paying a penalty to United.

The 25-year-old is once again INEOS’ problem to bear, with the co-owners even offering him to West Ham, both via a direct deal as well as part of a swap proposal, but both were turned down by Hammers boss Graham Potter.

Sancho’s future up in the air

Juventus, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce have all been linked with a move but the Englishman wants to stay in the Premier League.

There is interest from the likes of Brentford, Newcastle, Tottenham Hotspur, and Aston Villa– the only problem is the England international’s refusal to take a pay cut.

Even his former club Borussia Dortmund have left the race, and the 20-time English league champions have been left sweating about the forward’s future, with his current deal valid until 2026.

With the prospect of losing him on a free looming large, the Old Trafford side are contemplating triggering his one-year extension clause, before trying to engineer another loan exit.

Serie A giants join the race for Jadon Sancho

Teamtalk have revealed that two Serie A giants, Napoli and AC Milan like the ex-Manchester City academy graduate. But whether they will agree to a permanent exit or a loan with an obligation to buy remains to be seen.

“Despite Jadon Sancho not living up to expectations at Manchester United, he is rated highly in the footballing community.

“Sources have told TEAMtalk that Serie A champions Napoli and Italian giants AC Milan have also taken a shine to the Manchester United winger.”

The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a possible replacement for Rafael Leao,  which explains their interest, while the Serie A champions were initially eyeing Alejandro Garnacho, but given his high price, might have moved on to a more cost-effective option.

Italian teams do not usually prefer to take the obligation route, as they like the option to buy proposal much more. But can United afford to take such a risk with a player who they are desperate to shift?

Only time will tell. INEOS are desperate to get player sales going as they look to back Ruben Amorim in the market with further reinforcements.
