Trump urges peace after Charlie Kirk killing as manhunt continues

US President Donald Trump on Thursday urged supporters to remain peaceful after right-wing activist Charlie Kirk was shot dead, as police hunted the suspect more than a day later. Trump, who initially vowed a forceful response against the “radical left,” called Kirk an “advocate of nonviolence.
