Trump says early G7 exit ‘nothing to do’ with Macron’s remarks on Israel-Iran ceasefire offer

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday contradicted his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron’s comments that he had left the G7 summit in Canada prematurely to work on a ceasefire deal between Israel and Iran. “He has no idea why I am now on my way to Washington, but it certainly has nothing to do with a Cease Fire,” Trump wrote in a post on his social media platform.
