Tomahawk announce first tour in 13 years, with Melvins

Tomahawk, the supergroup of Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle), Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard), John Stanier (Helmet, Battles), and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle), have just announced their first shows in 13 years! The tour celebrates the band’s 25th anniversary, and they’ll be joined for the trek by their old friends the Melvins. Melvins’ lineup for this tour will be Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover, Steven McDonald, and Coady Willis.

“In the spirit of the Olympics, Team Tomahawk has decided to rise up and go for the gold once again – also competing will be our cohorts the Melvins,” says Denison. Buzz Osborne adds, “This tour is a no brainer. I can’t wait. A Melvins/Tomahawk trek will be a stone groove.”

Dubbed the “A Huge Waste of Your Time and Money” tour, the trek begins on July 18 in Nashville and wraps up on August 15 in Los Angeles. NYC gets a stop on July 28 at Brooklyn Steel. There’s an Ipecac Recordings presale starting Wednesday (2/25) at 10 AM local (password: Flashback), and the general public on-sale begins Friday (2/27) at 10 AM local. All dates are listed below.

Tomahawk’s last album was 2021’s Tonic Immobility, which was their first in eight years.
