The gig will see Eno, Khaled Ziada, Khalid Abdalla and Tracey Seaward work as executive producers and enlist performances from “artists, musicians and people for whom silence feels impossible” on September 17.
Earlier this month, the first wave of artists involved was shared, with Damon Albarn, Bastille, Cat Burns, Greentea Peng, Hot Chip, James Blake, Jamie xx, King Krule, Mabel, Obongjayar, Paloma Faith, Rachel Chinouriri and Sampha among those performing.
They’ll be joined by Palestinian artists such as Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman and Nai Barghouti, with the latest announcement adding a new wave of artists to the line-up including Celeste, Leigh-Anne, Palestinian-Chilean singer Elyanna, Palestinian musician Saint Levant, and Palestinian-Jordanian artist El Far3i.

Joining them will be actors Amer Hlehel, Benedict Cumberbatch, Charithra Chandran, Guy Pearce, Jameela Jamil, Motaz Malhees and Ramy Youssef, with Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg, documentarian and broadcaster Louis Theroux and Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos also appearing.
Some will perform unique collaborations, and others will play new material created just for the fundraising event, with artists including Rina Sawayama, PinkPantheress and Riz Ahmed taking to the stage for one-off contributions.
British electronic band Portishead have also come together to record a special one-off performance of their 1994 track ‘Roads’ with a string quartet, which will be aired during the event as they are unable to attend in person.
Speaking about their involvement in a recent press release, the band said they were “incredibly honoured” to stand in solidarity with Palestine, adding: The genocide must stop.”
The Brutalist actor Pearce echoed their sentiments, saying he was “utterly heartbroken every day witnessing the atrocities inflicted upon the innocent people of Palestine”.
“It’s hard not to feel helpless,” he continued. “Being part of this concert will enable me to share my heart with others who also see the injustice in these horrific crimes. More importantly it enables me to show my support for and to the people of Gaza, and all those subjected to this brutal genocide. Hopefully this concert encourages more people to stand up and speak out.”
London based El Far3i went on to explain he chose London as a base to work on his music back in 2014, describing it as a city “global solidarity with Palestine meets a historical responsibility for its occupation.
“Eleven years later, as a genocide is being committed against my people, contributing to this pivotal event feels like the least I can do – and exactly where I need to be.”
Multiple UN human-rights experts and UN bodies have stated that Israel’s military actions in Gaza may amount to genocide, and the International Court of Justice has found claims of genocide plausible.
Separately, a recent report by The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification confirmed last month that famine is taking place in Gaza. It went on to acknowledge that the situation is “entirely man-made”, and aid organisations are also accusing Israel of the “systematic obstruction” of food entering the Gaza Strip.
The Good Place actor Jamil said the event will be a moment in history where people will say those involved “stood on the side of humanity”, adding: “It will be a night of music and hope, standing together with the Palestinian people. Working with Choose Love means the world to me and all the money raised will go to Palestinian-led partners providing life-saving support and humanitarian aid.”
