They Might Be Giants announce new album, share “Wu-Tang”

They Might Be Giants have announced a new album ,The World Is to Dig, which will be out later this year. (They just released a new EP in January, too.) Full details have yet to be released but John and John note, “It’s all bangers.”

The first banger is a John Linnell song tilted “Wu-Tang” which includes this lyric: “at the end of my tether / thought I was a goner / but in walked the answer / in the persons of Wu-Tang.” You can listen to “Wu-Tang” below.

TMGB will be on tour starting in April, playing multiple nights in cities where they will “will spotlight a different album each night, and we will make a point of changing up the second sets from night to night just for the recidivists and ourselves.” That includes NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on May 28-30. All dates are listed below.
