The xx announce first show since 2018

Back in September, The xx revealed they’d be returning to the stage for their first shows since 2018 with the announcement that they were playing Coachella 2026. They’ve announced more festival dates since then, and now they’ve unveiled what they say will be their official first show back. They haven’t revealed the venue, but happens on April 4 in Mexico City, and you can sign up for the presale.

They write:

It’s been a while since our last show together as The xx.

In 2026, we share our music with you all live again.

This is the start of a next chapter together, and there’s no better place to return than in front of our Mexican fans. We’ve always felt a deep connection to Mexico – the warmth, the openness, the energy from the crowd.

Thank you for waiting for us and we can’t wait to see you soon!

We’re also hoping for a new album from the band, which would be their first since 2017’s I See You. Stay tuned for more on that (we hope), and see all their current dates below.
