Sanguisugabogg announce new album ft. members of Full of Hell, Cattle Decapitation, Nails & more

The gore-and-violence-obsessed Ohio death metal band Sanguisugabogg have announced their third album, Hideous Aftermath, due October 10 via Century Media (pre-order). It was produced by Converge’s Kurt Ballou, who also mixed 2023’s Homicidal Ecstasy, and it has a handful of cool guests, including members of Full of Hell, Cattle Decapitation, Nails, PeelingFlesh, and Defeated Sanity. Josh Welshman of Defeated Sanity is on the brutal lead single “Abhorrent Contraception,” and you can watch the NSFW, Errick Easterday-directed video for that one below.

About the new album, the band says, “As a death metal band diving deep in dark tropes of fantasy and exaggerated real life horrors, this song is a timeless classic with a theme very tried and true with our genre and it’s about the slaughter of an entire family and the unborn.” Vocalist Devin Swank adds, “It’s definitely our most death metal record, our most personal record, our most focused and brutal record to date.”
