Pope Leo urges Netanyahu to protect holy sites following Israeli strike on Gaza church

Pope Leo XIV urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a phone call Friday to renew peace talks and protect places of worship following a deadly Israeli strike on Gaza’s only Catholic church. The pope expressed deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in the enclave and called for an immediate ceasefire.
