Play the official FIFA Club World Cup 2025 fantasy game: How it works

Picked your dream team yet? With $100M, global stars and real-time drama, FIFA’s Club World Cup Fantasy is where strategy meets obsession. Here’s how to master the madness.

Buzz is already building around the FIFA Club World Cup 2025—but it’s not just the matches drawing attention. The official fantasy game has launched, inviting fans to test their soccer IQ as top clubs battle for global supremacy.

Fantasy sports meet the world’s biggest stage, blending real-time competition with tactical depth. With giants like Manchester City and Real Madrid in the mix, every lineup choice could make or break virtual glory.

But there’s more than pride at stake. From player stats to weekly matchups, the fantasy game introduces twists that mirror the unpredictability of the pitch. And just like the tournament, it promises high stakes and even higher drama.

With a sleek interface and accessible gameplay, the platform is designed to appeal to both seasoned fantasy veterans and newcomers eager to test their managerial instincts. Whether it’s building a squad of global stars or making key substitutions between matches, the game mirrors the intensity of tournament play in every decision.

Accessible through play.fifa.com/fantasy, the platform offers immersive engagement, real-time scoring, and exclusive content tied to match outcomes. With new fans joining daily, and high-profile clubs entering the fray, it is quickly becoming one of the event’s biggest side attractions.

How the Club World Cup Fantasy works: Rules, transfers and tactical twists

At the heart of the Club World Cup Fantasy experience is a strategic structure that challenges users to build the perfect squad under tournament conditions. Each player is given a $100 million budget to construct a team of 15 players: 2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders and 3 forwards.

From the round of 16 onward, that budget increases slightly to $105 million—adding extra flexibility just as the pressure rises. But assembling a dream team isn’t just about splashing virtual cash.

Squad depth and club balance matter: during the group stage, players can only select a maximum of three from any one club. That number shifts as the competition progresses, making timing and selection crucial.

In-game decisions go far beyond the initial squad. Managers must choose a captain each matchday, whose points will be automatically doubled. A vice-captain can serve as a fallback in case the captain doesn’t play, and substitutions from the bench are allowed between matches.

Before the tournament kicks off, users enjoy unlimited transfers to perfect their lineup, but once matchdays begin, transfer restrictions and lockout times apply—mirroring the tournament’s rigid schedule.
