PL rivals ready to offer United superstar a lifeline, but INEOS will only agree a deal on one condition – report

Marcus Rashford has no future at Manchester United with INEOS yet to find a new home for the Mancunian amid a flurry of interest from potential suitors.

Aston Villa had the option of converting his loan spell into a permanent move, but they failed to qualify for the Champions League, ending their hopes of being able to afford a deal for the England international.

The problem is that the Englishman appears to be determined to secure a move to Barcelona. Still, the Catalans stayed away back in January and currently have other options ahead of him in the queue.

While the 27-year-old seems ready to rough it out and wait until the closing stages of the window to hopefully earn a move to the Camp Nou, keeping backup options ready would not be the worst idea.

Newcastle eyeing Marcus Rashford

The Sun have claimed that Newcastle are open to offering the Carrington graduate a way out of his boyhood club, and want him to rotate with Alexander Isak up top given the sheer quantity of games both domestically and in the Champions League.

The only issue is, the Magpies are only open to a loan offer while INEOS want to get rid of the forward permanently.

“NEWCASTLE want to rescue Marcus Rashford from his limbo at Manchester United. The Magpies are ready to offer the England striker Champions League football following his Aston Villa loan.

“SunSport can reveal Newcastle are confident they can provide Rashford with an ideal stage to rebuild his career. Toon boss Eddie Howe expects to keep £160million-rated Arsenal target Alexander Isak.

But only on loan

“And far from being a replacement for the 25-year-old Swede, Newcastle see Rashford as an ideal player to rotate him with.

“It’s understood the Magpies fancy a year-long loan deal for the 62-cap star. But Old Trafford chiefs would prefer a permanent exit.”

The England international is keen to continue playing in the Champions League after a revival in form last season. He notched four goals and six assists in 17 games for Unai Emery’s men.

United are unlikely to sanction another temporary exit unless an obligation to buy is included in the deal with the player having a contract until 2028.

While selling to a foreign club would suit INEOS best, should the Catalan giants stay away, the co-owners might have no other choice but to entertain a move to a direct rival like the Magpies.
