Peace deal with Rwanda opens way to ‘new era’, says DR Congo president

In tonight’s edition, the DR Congo’s President Felix Tshisekedi says the peace deal with Rwanda paves the way for a new era of stability. 

Also, at least seven people died in anti-government protests in Togo’s capital, Lomé, amid reports of brutal crackdowns. 

And new US sanctions against Sudan’s government have taken effect, a response to allegations that Khartoum’s military used chemical weapons.
