Paris court to review Nicolas Sarkozy’s request to merge sentences in graft case

A Paris criminal court will on Monday review former president Nicolas Sarkozy’s request to combine sentences handed down in separate convictions for corruption and illegal campaign financing. Sarkozy, who served from 2007 to 2012, has faced multiple legal cases since leaving office. His lawyer said such requests are routine.
