Pakistan vows ‘immediate response’ after Afghanistan launches retaliatory attacks

Pakistan said it would give an “immediate” response to a deadly attack on its forces by Afghanistan on Thursday, the latest in a series of ongoing border clashes between the neighbouring countries. Afghanistan said it had killed dozens of Pakistani soldiers and taken several more prisoner in retaliation for air strikes days earlier that killed several civilians, according to the UN.
