Nearly half a million Afghans forced out of Iran since June, UN agency says

Nearly 450,000 Afghans have returned from Iran since early June, UN officials said Monday, after Tehran ordered undocumented migrants to leave by July 6. The sudden influx has strained aid groups and raised warnings of instability in Afghanistan, where poverty and climate shocks are already deepening.
