My Morning Jacket playing ‘Z’ in full on tour

My Morning Jacket‘s fourth album, 2005’s Z, turns 20 this fall, and they’ll celebrate it on the road. They’ll play the album in full at select dates of their previously announced upcoming tour: Morrison (Red Rocks Amphitheater on August 15), Los Angeles (Hollywood Palladium on August 19), Brooklyn (Brooklyn Paramount on October 16), Chicago (The Salt Shed on October 26), and Atlanta (Fox Theatre on November 1). Tickets are on sale now.

“October 4 is the 20th anniversary of our album Z,” Jim James says. “It’s pretty wild to think about that. To celebrate 2 decades of it being out in the ether, we’re excited to be turning 5 of our shows into special Z anniversary shows, where we’ll play that album (and some other songs, don’t worry) front to back.”

MMJ released their new album is in March, and their tour includes multiple nights in several cities, including two other NYC shows at Brooklyn Paramount on October 17 and 18. See all dates below.
