Miley Cyrus has been accused of “ignoring” the fans who showed up to her London signing event.

The event in question took place this weekend (Saturday June 21), when the pop star and former Disney Channel actor headed to London’s Rough Trade to celebrate her single ‘Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved’.

The song is taken from her latest record, ‘Something Beautiful’, and features a guest appearance from supermodel Naomi Campbell – who also joined her at the London event to sign vinyl copies of the track.

Following the signing, some fans took to social media to hit out at the two of them and accuse them of being too busy talking to one another to interact with those who travelled to see them.

“I love you Miley but what you did today was AWFUL and DISRESPECTFUL towards your fans,” one wrote in a comment on Cyrus’ Instagram post. “I’m truly disappointed, not so excited anymore to see your film this Friday. You could have waited to chat with Naomi and acknowledged the fans that were there to meet you.”

Someone else added, “Girl be more attentive and nice to your fans,” while a third wrote: “Sorry to everyone who went and got a photo with them talking to one another.”

“The way you ignored your fans lol,” another attendee added, while another commented, “Girl you were very rude to your fans at this signing.”

Also in the comment section, another urged the singer to “treat your fans better next time,” and someone else wrote: “Wow, you look great. Too bad your fans were treated like trash at that meet and greet.”

While some fans were left disgruntled by how the event unfolded, many others were fast to praise both Cyrus and Campbell for it. “IT WAS AMAZING, THANK YOU MILEY,” one commented on Instagram, while someone on X/Twitter wrote: “I can’t get over the fact that I met Miley Cyrus! I thought it was one of those things that would never happen. So glad I flew to London from Milan for the craziest 24hours of my life”.

Neither Cyrus nor Campbell have yet commented on the accusations made by some fans following the London event.

As for ‘Something Beautiful’, in NME’s four-star review of the record, Nick Levine wrote: “Featuring 13 tracks that unfurl over 53 minutes, ‘Something Beautiful’ is sprawling and apparently unperturbed by contemporary chart trends.

“It’s difficult to think of a Spotify playlist that might accommodate ‘Reborn’, which sounds a bit like an Andrew Lloyd Webber show tune written on mild hallucinogens. So while ‘Something Beautiful’ probably isn’t Cyrus’s most hit-packed album, it does feel like a fully realised artistic statement. This post-genre pop star has pulled off another pretty big swing.”

At a recent screening of the accompanying film, Cyrus was heckled by fans who were expecting a concert, with social media clips showing one proclaiming: “We thought this was a concert! We paid $800!”
