Metallica announce 2026 Sphere residency

Rumors about a Metallica residency at Las Vegas’ Sphere have been circulating for a while now, and now they’ve officially announced “Life Burns Faster,” an eight-show run at Sphere on October 1 and 3, 15 and 17, 22 and 24, and 29 and 31. Like their M72 World Tour, they’ll be doing “No Repeat Weekends” at Sphere, with no songs repeated on each Thursday and Saturday of the run.

“About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!’” Lars Ulrich says. “This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way fuckin’ psyched to go next level!”

Two-night and single-night tickets go on sale Friday, March 6 at 10 AM PT, with a Fan Club Presale beginning Monday, March 2 and a Ticketmaster Presale beginning Tuesday, March 3. There’s also a “Full House” ticket that will grant you access to each 2026 Sphere show. More details here, and watch a trailer below.
