Gurriers have shared a new single called ‘Erasure’ – you can listen to it below.

The song marks the first material from the Dublin band since their debut studio album, ‘Come And See’, which was released a year ago.

“‘Erasure’ is a chaotic mash of genres, an unwavering cry into the void in the face of imperialism and tyranny,” explained frontman Dan Hoff of the blistering and distorted new tune.

The track was recorded with Gurriers’ debut album collaborator Alex Greaves, and mixed by Pelle Gunnerfeldt (Viagra Boys, The Hives).

It is accompanied by a Black Mirror-esque official music video, helmed by Adam Hart, who previously directed the group’s ‘Top Of The Bill’ visuals. The dark new clip is set in the office of a shadowy security agency. Tune in here:

Gurriers are set to embark on a UK tour next month. Shows are scheduled in Glasgow, Leeds, Cardiff, Birmingham, Bristol, Margate, Portsmouth, Oxford and Cambridge.

They’ll then head to Europe before playing Cyprus Avenue in Cork on December 18 and hosting two sold-out hometown gigs at the Button Factory in Dublin (19, 20). A concert at Belfast’s Limelight is scheduled for the following night (21).

The band’s first-ever North American tour is due to kick off next March.

Tickets for the UK and Ireland dates are already on sale here. The general sale for the North American shows begins at 10am local time this Friday (September 12) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.

Next Thursday (September 18), Gurriers will open for Kneecap at their massive Wembley Arena show in London.

Speaking to NME last summer, Gurriers described their debut album ‘Come And See’ as “a statement of intent”. “This is what we want to do,” added Ben O’Neill. “We’re not fucking around.”

Hoff explained: “I always want the album to speak universally. ‘Approachable’ is about the far-right in Ireland but the UK has a massive problem with that as well.”

Drummer Pierce O’Callaghan then told NME: “With Kneecap for example, there’s a lot of disillusionment with young people in the UK post-Brexit.” He then cited the Belfast rap trio’s debut record, ‘Fine Art’: “The message behind the album wasn’t just ‘Fuck the Brits’, but it resonated here.”

Earlier this summer, NME caught Gurriers’ set on the Woodsies stage at Glastonbury Festival 2025.

The show featured as one of our “most unforgettable moments from Worthy Farm”, with the round-up noting: “It’s a testament to the Irish punks’ reputation as one of the finest new live acts going that so many would defy their nuclear Glasto hangovers to be here, but Gurriers proved it worth our while.”
