Lecornu set to become France’s third PM in less than a year

An official handover is set to take place in Paris this afternoon between ousted former prime minister François Bayrou and his replacement Sebastien Lecornu. French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday named defence minister and close ally Lecornu as the new prime minister to resolve a deepening political crisis that saw Bayrou’s government toppled in a confidence vote. Clovis Casali has the latest.
