Irish band Just Mustard are back with their first new music in three years. “POLLYANNA” picks up where 2022’s Heart Under left off, with blisteringly loud guitar haze floating atmospherically around a driving bassline and breakbeat drumming.
The video was directed by singer Katie Ball, who says, “We shot the video using different CCTV and VHS cameras around our hometown Dundalk trying to have as much fun as possible, the kind of fun that makes you feel sick almost instantly, which suits the themes of the song.” Watch that below.
Just Mustard are part of the lineup of Boston’s Seisiún Festival at Suffolk Downs on September 6 & 7 that also includes The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, Glen Hansard, Stiff Little Fingers, The Waterboys, The Hold Steady, Cardinals, Lisa O’Neill, Mairéad, John Francis Flynn, and more, and after that they’ll head to Brooklyn to play National Sawdust on September 9. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, June 20 at 10 AM.
Those are their only US shows at the moment, and all dates are listed below.
