Taking Back Sunday guitarist/vocalist John Nolan released the first edition of his ACLU benefit compilation Music for Everyone in 2016, and he’s announced a second volume. Music For Everyone Volume 2: A Compilation In Support of the ACLU is due out on November 21 via Born Losers, and it features original music and alternate versions from Nolan’s bands Taking Back Sunday and Straylight Run, as well as L.S. Dunes, Sparta, Jeff Rosenstock, Kayleigh Goldsworthy, Kevin Devine, Catbite, Zeta, and more. We have an exclusive “red galaxy” vinyl variant, limited to 100 copies and available for pre-order in the BV shop.
The theme of volume 2 is “Fighting Hate with Positivity,” and Nolan says, “While this administration continues to attack civil rights, voting rights, the rights of women, immigrants and the LGBTQ+ community, it gives me hope to know the ACLU is fighting back. It also gives me hope to see so many people putting their time and energy into making this compilation and supporting this cause. I’m so grateful to all the bands who are part of this, and I’m so excited for everyone to finally hear it.”
