Irish dancepunk duo Chalk prep debut album, touring around SXSW & Treefort fests

Belfast, Ireland duo Chalk aggressively mix noisy rock and electronic music and are gearing up to release their debut album, Crystalpunk, on March 13. The album was produced by Chris Ryan (NewDad, Just Mustard) and the band’s Ross Cullen, and mixed by Scott Desmarais (Post Malone, Lizzo, blink-182).

You can check out a few songs from the album now, including “I.D.C.,” “Can’t Feel It” and new single “Tongue,” and you can watch videos for those below. If you dig all manner of ’90s electronica — from Prodigy to Nine Inch Nails to Depeche Mode — you will probably find something to latch onto.

Chalk were last in the US back in November and they’ll be back this month for festival appearances at SXSW and Treefort. They’ve got a few headline shows as well, in Dallas, Chicago and Denver. Doesn’t look like they’ll make it to NYC this go-round but all dates are listed below.
