Iran deploys riot police to shut down protests in Tehran

Iranian authorities deployed riot police Thursday evening on Tehran’s main square and avenues to prevent protests, FRANCE 24’s correspondent Siavosh Ghazi said. Ghazi also reported that Iran has not yet responded to the White House claim that it has halted executions for some 800 protesters.
