Invitation (2/19/26): Turning OSINT Chaos into Strategic Clarity | Irregular Warfare Initiative

An Invitation from our friends at the Irregular Warfare Initiative (IWI):

“Please join the Irregular Warfare Initiative (IWI) and CACI DarkBlue for Turning OSINT Chaos into Strategic Clarity: Countering Malign Chinese Influence on Thursday, February 19, in Reston, VA.

This half-day convening will bring together senior irregular warfare practitioners from government, the intelligence community, and the private sector to examine CCP influence methods and practical ways to use open-source intelligence (OSINT) to illuminate networks and support decision-making.

The program will feature opening remarks from Lt. Gen. Michael Nagata (Ret.), U.S. Army, a keynote conversation on trends in Chinese influence with Brig. Gen. Kipling V. Kahler (Ret.), and a panel discussion on using OSINT to illuminate networks moderated by HON Michael Sulmeyer, with panelists Claire Moravec, Col. Dave Maxwell (Ret.), and Hamlet Yousef.

The event will also include an interactive exercise and OSINT case work focused on translating open-source signals into actionable insight.

Irregular Warfare Initiative is a public 501(c)(3) powered by a global network of volunteers dedicated to bridging the gap between practitioners, scholars, and policymakers. Help us expand this work and sustain independent research and dialogue—make a contribution today.”
