Lana Del Rey has kicked off her UK and Ireland stadium tour with an opening night in Cardiff. Check out the setlist and fan footage below.
The gig was held last night (June 23) at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, and marked the first of the singer’s biggest UK shows to date. She was joined by London Grammar at the gig, while Banks will support at dates in Glasgow (June 26), Liverpool (28) and Dublin (30).
Addison Rae will join for the final two dates at London’s Wembley Stadium on July 4 and 5. You can see a full list of dates and venues below, and find any remaining tickets here.
The entirety of the show was set on the front lawn of a life-size blue house, built on the stage, which looked like it was lifted straight out of the deep-south. It featured a traditional white picket fence, a porch swing, a street lamp and fairy lights.
She entered the stage through the front door, shortly after her husband Jeremy Dufrene briefly popped onto the stage to acknowledge fans and subtly signal that she was on her way.
The gig comes as Del Rey is gearing up to share her anticipated 10th album – which has been renamed from ‘Lasso’ to ‘The Right Person Will Stay’. In keeping with that, she opened with three country-inspired songs. These were ‘Stars Fell On Alabama’, ‘Henry, Come On’ and a cover of Tammy Wynette’s ‘Stand By Your Man’.
From there she went into her earlier discography, playing ‘Chemtrails Over the Country Club’, ‘Ultraviolence’ and the first performance of ‘Ride’ since 2017. This was followed by her breakthrough hit ‘Video Games’, and ‘Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd’.
Other classics included ‘Young and Beautiful’, ‘Summertime Sadness’ and ‘Born to Die’, as well as country track ‘Quiet In The South’, and ‘57.5’ which was given its live debut at Stagecoach in April.
The show closed out with her playing ‘Salvatore’ following it being requested by the audience, and with a cover of John Denver’s ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’.

“Lana Del Rey getting emotional and crying after singing Stars Fell On Alabama and then getting comforted by her Husband was the sweetest part of this concert,” one fan wrote after the gig.
Some others, however, urged for a longer setlist and more deep cuts with it being a stadium tour. “I’VE SEEN YOU LIVE 4 TIMES AND IT WAS THE SAME DAMN SETLIST,” one wrote in a comment on her latest Instagram post, while someone else agreed: “The setlist seriously needs to be adjusted… especially considering how expensive the tickets were”.

NME gave the show in Cardiff a glowing five-star review, with Rhian Daly describing it as a “spectacle on her own terms”.
“What follows perfectly sums up the Lana Del Rey stadium experience – she doesn’t need gimmicks and flash to conquer such enormous venues,” the review read. “All she needs is her exquisite voice and beautifully written songs, delivered with as much heart and emotion as she shares tonight. It might not have seemed obvious at first, but once you’ve witnessed it, Del Rey the stadium headliner feels like a very natural fit after all.”
While a release date for ‘The Right Person Will Stay’ has not yet been confirmed, Lana has released two tracks from the upcoming album: ‘Bluebird‘ and ‘Henry, Come On‘. It is looking like ‘57.7’ will be the next single to be shared ahead of the release, and includes a line about kissing Morgan Wallen during her headline Stagecoach performance.
It has been widely shared that the record will see her hone in on a country sound, and it will mark the follow-up to 2023’s ‘Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’.
In a four-star review of that album, NME wrote: “…Ocean Blvd’ might deal with some major existential questions, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had and cements Del Rey’s status as one of modern music’s most intriguing songwriters.”
