Haircut 100’s Nick Heyward tells us about his favorite art pop songs (XTC, Roxy Music, more)

UK sophistipop greats Haircut 100 are currently on tour in the US and frontman Nick Heyward took a little time out of his busy schedule to tell us about his five favorite art pop songs, including ones by Roxy Music, Ultravox, Deaf School, Talking Heads and XTC. Watch him talk about his picks below.

Most of Haircut 100’s tour is with fellow ’80s vets Howard Jones and DJ Richard Blade (KROQ) and includes stops in Tucson, Anaheim, Las Vegas, Del Mar and Jordan, UT, but before heading home they’ll play a headline show in NYC at Sony Hall on September 24 with Brazilian artist Cheo (full band) and DJ Andre (ex-WLIR). All dates are listed below.

Haircut 100 are also working on their first album in over four decades (hear “The Unloving Plumb” below) and Nick contributed to Saint Etienne’s new album International.
