Glastonbury 2025: Here are the highlights of Self Esteem’s theatrical Park Stage set

Self Esteem just played Glastonbury 2025. Here are the highlights of her set.

The pop singer – real name Rebecca Lucy Taylor – took to the Park Stage at 9:15pm, after her set was included in a list of recommendations from Robbie Williams earlier in the day.

Taylor opened the performance with ‘I Do And I Don’t Care’ (from her latest album ‘A Complicated Woman’) joined by a crew of dancers dressed in Handmaid’s Tale-esque attire.

Throughout the set, Taylor’s signature high-octane choreography was on display, with the dancers eventually changing into football kits for a p.e lesson-inspired performance of ‘Running Around’.

“My name is Rebecca Lucy Taylor and for the next however there is long left, I would like to inform you that your arse is mine,” she told the crowd while wearing a Sheffield Wednesday Football Club jacket.

She then went on to play a string of fan favourites from her Mercury and BRIT-nominated ‘Prioritise Pleasure’ in 2021, including ‘‘Prioritise Pleasure’ and ‘Fucking Wizardry’, before slowing things down for acoustic guitar ballad ‘The Curse’.

“Please don’t judge me by how high this guitar is,” she said, introducing the song. “It feels like the 00s all over again. Speaking of which, this is a guitar song about how much I drink too often.”

Later, she performed ‘Cheers To Me’, while the screen behind her asked fans to “please do this dance on TikTok”.

After wrapping up with ‘I Do This All The Time’ and ‘The Deep Blue Okay’, both performed in a euphoric chorus with her backing singers and dancers, the entire entourage did a conga line off stage. See Self Esteem’s full setlist, and some audience reactions, below.

No stranger to a high-octane performance, Taylor delivered five special theatrical presentations of her new album ‘A Complicated Woman’ at London’s Duke Of York’s Theatre in April. Madonna was among those who caught the show, calling Taylor an “incredible artist”.

The artist has said the new album was made “for stadiums” after taking inspiration from the likes of Coldplay and Biffy Clyro. “I think it’s going to be a massive challenge, being a 38, 39-year-old woman putting a pop record out and getting it where it needs to go.”

Self Esteem will be touring her album from September this year, including three nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and a huge hometown show at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena. Nab any remaining tickets here and see all dates below:

Friday at Glastonbury has seen an emotional, redemptive set on the Pyramid from a returning Lewis Capaldi, a surprise set from Lorde where she played her new album ‘Virgin’ in full, alongside gigs from established names such as Franz Ferdinand – who were joined by Peter Capaldi – and Supergrass, as well as breakout sets from CMATLola Young and Wet Leg, among others.
