Last week, Los Angeles label Gauzy Records revealed that they’d be releasing a single from a band called The Mock-Ups with some pretty exciting people involved: My Chemical Romance‘s Gerard Way (vocals/bass), Fender’s Michael Schulz (guitar), and The Interrupters‘ Kevin Bivona (keys/production), Jesse Bivona (drums), and Aimee Interrupter (backing vocals). They’ve now officially released “I Wanna Know Your Name,” a punk song produced by Kevin, with engineering from the late Doug McKean. Hear it below, and pre-order the limited 7″.
MCR paid tribute to McKean, who they started working with on Welcome to the Black Parade, on social media and at their first of two Los Angeles shows in July, performing the unreleased track “War Beneath the Rain” and dedicating it to him and his family.
Way has been busy on MCR’s Long Live The Black Parade tour, which wrapped up its North American dates on Saturday in Tampa, and resumes in January of 2026 for shows in South and Central America, Asia, and the UK.
