General Hospital: Faison as Mystery Boss – Britt’s Dad Alive?

General Hospital fans, get ready! Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is receiving a mysterious gift, and the clues are piling up. It might be her father, the infamous Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). His name is being dropped left and right, both by characters and in GH spoilers. Several red flags suggest Faison is alive, well, and as diabolical as ever.

Is Britt’s “Dead” Daddy the Mystery Boss?

We’re diving into why we believe Britt’s supposedly deceased father, Cesar Faison, is the mystery boss she’s been working for and the one who held Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) captive for the past seven years. If you haven’t already, please hit subscribe to stay updated!

With Nathan West recently resurrected and seemingly healthy, it’s no coincidence that Faison and Liesel Obrecht’s (Kathleen Gati) two supposedly dead children are back. This makes the idea of Faison being alive less outrageous. Remember the order of their “deaths”?

Nathan was shot by Faison, who discovered right after that Nathan was the son Liesel had kept from him. Faison died the very next day, supposedly shot by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). After surgery at General Hospital, Faison experienced cardiac complications.

Did Peter Fake Faison & Nathan’s Deaths?

His other son, Henrik Faison aka Peter August (Wes Ramsey), watched as Faison had a heart attack and kept the nurse call button away from his father. Nathan and Faison “died” on January 30th and 31st, 2018, respectively.

Peter was present during Faison’s final moments, suggesting he might have staged both deaths. Peter was reportedly jealous of Nathan, the “golden child.” Faison had previously tried to kill Peter, but he was wearing a bulletproof vest. At the time, no one knew Peter was Faison’s son.

Britt’s Tragic Exit on GH

Then, Britt “died” from the Hook Killer’s poison about five years later, in January 2023. Britt revealed that someone helped her fake her death, partly to spare her loved ones from watching her decline from Huntington’s disease, a condition managed by a special medication.

Jason mentioned that faking Britt’s death required significant influence and power, though he didn’t know the boss’s identity. Britt, of course, knows but hasn’t revealed it. She was kept under close watch but allowed some freedom to complete her research.

She was cared for by Pascal (Marc Forget) who also answers to the mystery boss and Britt had just returned from Paris, seemingly living in luxury, though she experienced cabin fever and wanted more freedom.

Nathan’s Captivity and Faison’s Potential Involvement

In contrast, Nathan has been held against his will, with disturbing experiments reportedly conducted by Professor Hank Dalton (Daniel Goddard). We’ll likely learn more about this soon and whether Nathan is himself upon regaining consciousness at General Hospital.

Given Faison’s history of tampering with memories, Nathan might wake up believing he’s someone else entirely. His escape suggests he knew something bad was happening, even if he’s not fully lucid or aware of his identity.

Britt was a willing participant in faking her death, but Nathan doesn’t seem to have been. He would never have allowed Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and their unborn child, James West (Gary James Fuller), to believe he was dead.

Everyone certainly thought all three were dead, indicating a well-orchestrated plan by this mystery boss. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) even believes he has Faison’s brain in a jar, though it’s unlikely to be Faison’s actual brain if he is indeed the mystery boss.

Three Key Clues Pointing to Faison

Here are three major reasons why we believe Britt’s father is her secret boss, and we might be seeing the return of Anders Hove, a recast, or someone with Faison’s memories who believes they are Britt’s father.

General Hospital: Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) - Cesar Faison(Anders Hove)
General Hospital: Britt Westbourne – Cesar Faison

Reason One: The Lingering Presence of Faison’s Organization

When Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) discovered Colette Moreau (Mercedes Lopez Renard) was a double agent working for the mystery boss and the WSB, he sought information from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Valentin revealed that Colette previously worked for Faison and that Faison’s  organization is still active. Brennan’s mention of the “brain in the jar” is irrelevant, as it could be any brain – perhaps an “Abby Normal” one, like in Young Frankenstein.

The constant name-dropping of Faison is significant. When Jason suspected Britt was alive, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) suggested it was possible, given her parents are Liesel Obrecht and Cesar Faison, and fake deaths are common among them. Anna just reiterated this to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) regarding Nathan’s return, reinforcing the idea that Faison might indeed, be back.

Reason Two: The Mysterious “C” Meds

The small package Britt recently received contained her experimental Huntington’s medication with a note: “Don’t forget to take your medicine C.” The initial “C” could easily stand for Cesar, suggesting he’s still looking out for Britt in his own twisted way.

Furthermore, when Pascal placed an ankle bomb on Britt, she stated their boss would not approve and wouldn’t want her killed, even if she defied his orders. This indicates a level of care for Britt that aligns with Faison, despite their difficult relationship. Britt felt she could never earn Faison’s approval, but he wouldn’t go as far as to kill her.

While “C” could refer to others like Colette or Cyrus Renault, Colette is in WSB custody, and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has previously tried to kill Britt. Britt might also be concerned about how easily her father found her if Faison sent the medication.

Reason Three: The “Faison Obrecht Clan” Spoiler

A spoiler from an interview with Soap Opera Digest states, “The excitement won’t end with Brit’s return. The Faison/Obrecht clan is just getting started.” This is a massive clue. While Britt’s return is welcome, and Liesel and Nathan West are exciting additions, Faison is a top-tier villain. However, if the “Faison Obrecht clan” is returning, does that mean Henrik Faison/Peter August is also coming back?

Peter’s return would be a significant disappointment. The mention of Faison’s last name is crucial. Nathan’s last name is West, Britt’s is Westbourne, and their mother is Obrecht. Only Henrik/Peter shares the Faison surname. However, Peter doesn’t have the initial “C,” making him an unlikely sender of the meds. Peter is also unlikely to be the secret boss. It seems we may indeed be getting Cesar Faison back, which is a bit frightening.
