French power-pop band Alvilda on first US tour, playing On the Streets Again 3 fest pre-party

Parisian punky power-pop band Alvilda released their debut album, C’est Déjà L’heure (“It’s Already Time”), last fall via Static Shock. It’s a lot of fun, full of harmonies, breathless rhythms and melodies that will stick in your head even if you don’t speak a word of French. Reccomended for fans of Dolly Mixture and Flamin’ Groovies, or more modern groups like Melenas or Giuda. Listen to the album below.

Alvida just began their first-ever US tour on Wednesday in Boston and they play NYC tonight (7/17) at TV Eye with LOOSEY, Veneno, and Disket. All tour dates are below.

The TV Eye show is a pre-party for On The Streets Again 3, a two-day festival at Brooklyn Monarch on Friday & Saturday (July 18 & 19). Friday has Rome’s Giuda (speak of the devil), Home Front, The Kids, Long Knife, Lost Legion, Liberty and Justice, Pena Maxima, Broken Cuffs, Intimidation, War Lovers, and Vile Enemy. Saturday has Annihilation Time, Crux, Claimed Choice, Bog People, No Time, Fuerza Bruta, Concrete Elite, No Guard, and XL Bully.
