Franco-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal speaks about his detention

Boualem Sansal was a guest on France 2’s evening news yesterday, his first public appearance since returning to France after a year in detention in Algeria. He spoke about his detention and said he could not speak entirely freely for fear of reprisals against his family.
