France’s political crisis: All efforts to avoid snap elections

President Emmanuel Macron is meeting with all major political parties—except the far-right RN and the far-left LFI—in an effort to resolve France’s deepening political crisis and agree on a new prime minister. Following Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu’s resignation and failure to form a government, parties are aiming to avoid snap elections and ensure the national budget is passed before year’s end, as Antonia Kerrigan reports.
