Four civilians killed in Pakistan-Afghanistan border clash
An overnight exchange of fire at the Chaman–Spin Boldak crossing killed four civilians and wounded four more, Afghan officials said. Both sides blamed each other despite a truce after deadly clashes in October. Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated since the Taliban took power in 2021, with Islamabad accusing Kabul of harbouring militants and the border remaining largely closed.
