The first official trailer for Fallout season two has been released, giving fans their first glimpse at Malculy Culkin’s “crazy genius” Legion soldier.

Taking inspiration from the hit video game series, Amazon’s adaptation of Fallout premiered in April 2024 and quickly became one of the streamer’s most successful shows. A second season was greenlit shortly afterwards and will launch in December. A third season has also been confirmed.

According to Variety, the second season of Fallout will “pick up in the aftermath of season one’s epic finale and take audiences along for a journey through the wasteland of the Mojave to the post-apocalyptic city of New Vegas”. A brief teaser trailer was shared in May but now fans have been given their first proper look at Fallout season two.

Soundtracked by Tommy Edwards’ ‘It’s All In The Game’, the trailer sees a soldier complaining to Aaron Moten’s Maximus about the lack of good people in the post-apocalyptic wasteland before we catch up with The Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and Lucy (Ella Purnell) who are on their way to New Vegas to bring her dad to justice.

“I’ve wastelanded for 200 years and kept myself alive for one reason – to find my family,” says The Ghoul, before a mysterious voice offers him help and warns that a “war is coming”.

Fans are then given a first look at Kumail Nanjiani’s Brotherhood soldier and Macaulay Culkin’s Legion warrior, who was previously described as a “crazy genius”.

Showrunner Graham Wagner has confirmed fan-favourite video game character Mr. House will play a big role in the new season and Purnell has described the next batch of episodes as a “buddy road trip”.

“Is The Ghoul going to become good? Is Lucy going to become bad? Or are they going to be somewhere in the middle? They’re trying to influence each other and see who’s going to rub off on whom,” she added.

Earlier this year, Moten said the plan was for the show to run for as many as six seasons. “We’ve always known that we’re going to take our time with the development of the characters,” he said.

In other news, Football Manager bosses have released a lengthy blog post addressing the disastrous launch of Football Manager 26.
