“Electric” United star picks up two awards after red-hot February, he is ready to absolutely terrorise Crystal Palace

Manchester United have confirmed on the club’s official website that Benjamin Sesko is the Red Devils’ Player of the Month for February 2026.

It is the forward’s first monthly award since arriving at Old Trafford in the summer. This just goes to show how quickly his influence is growing.

In addition, the 22-year-old did not start any of United’s four Premier League fixtures during the month, which makes his achievement even more impressive.

Furthermore, the Slovenian international found the net in three of those matches, which also highlights how he has had such a massive impact despite limited minutes.

Moreover, two of those finishes proved to be pivotal, as the former RB Leipzig man scored winners against Fulham and Everton respectively.

Fans’ frenzy fuels a double honour

The attacker also produced a dramatic injury-time equaliser against West Ham United. The instinctive late strike at the London Stadium earned him the club’s Goal of the Month award for February as well.

Sesko topped the vote with 61 per cent in a fan poll run via the United App and ManUtd.com.

Senne Lammens finished second on 33 per cent. Notably, the Belgium international delivered a Man of the Match display at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday.

Harry Maguire placed third with six per cent. In recent weeks, the England international has also looked more consistent and authoritative at the back.

The update also cements Sesko’s place in the club’s recent history. After all, he is the first traditional number nine to take the award since Rasmus Hojlund in February 2024.

Meanwhile, current interim head coach Michael Carrick added that Sesko “has been so good in so many ways.” This further illustrates the former Red Bull Salzburg man’s attitude, patience and ongoing improvement behind the scenes.

As March draws ever closer, Sesko will hope to carry this progress and momentum into Sunday’s Old Trafford meeting with Crystal Palace and beyond.
