DR Congo border crossing with Burundi reopens after AFC/M23 offensive

A key border post between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi reopened Monday after more than two months of closure triggered by an offensive by the Rwanda-backed AFC/M23. The Kavimvira crossing, a vital trade route linking Uvira and Bujumbura, resumed operations on Monday as Congolese authorities reasserted control over the area.
