Homeland Security Today had this to say about Dr. Maan:

“There’s fire on the battlefield, and then there’s fire in the story told about the battlefield. Dr. Ajit Maan has mastered both—igniting a new understanding of how narrative itself can become a weapon, a shield, and a spark for resilience.

As a defense and security strategist, Maan is blazing the trail in “Narrative Warfare,” showing that controlling the story is not just messaging—it’s the foundation of psychological, informational, and even kinetic warfare. Her work lights the way for militaries and policymakers worldwide, influencing strategy from conflict prevention to post-war stabilization.

Author of the seminal Counter-Terrorism: Narrative Strategies, Maan exposed how extremist groups weave coercive stories that ensnare recruits. Her groundbreaking insight? Those same structures that fuel radicalization also contain cracks—and with the right counter-narratives, they can be dismantled before they spread like wildfire.”
